J and I had the most beautiful backyard wedding! J’s family had just built a house, and designed the garden with the wedding in mind. We had the best time photographing and filming this lovely wedding. J and I welcomed us so sweetly and their entire family was so kind. These two deserved all of the beauty that was their day!

One of the things we loved most about J and I’s Hood Canal wedding was the attention to detail. From the handcrafted centerpieces to the carefully curated decor, every element of the wedding was thoughtfully designed to reflect the couple’s style and personality.

Moments and Mountains: What was the most special part of your wedding day?

J + I: We can’t decide between reciting our vows and the dancing that followed. It was so special to share the vows we each wrote and declare our love for one another with our closest friends and family watching. It was especially meaningful to see our loved ones react to our words with such powerful emotions and then watch that transition into such a lively celebration on the dance floor. (Writing this makes us want to watch our wedding video again (: )

Moments and Mountains: What advice do you have for couples planning a wedding?

J + I: Identify your personal priorities then find vendors that match your personality and flare within that budget. Don’t be afraid to splurge a little on things you want to be extra memorable. We decided a creative photographer/videographer and a live band were most important to us, so that’s where we allocated most of our budget. That meant a smaller cake but we’re the type of people who love a good donut. Also, remember that spreadsheets are your friend! Use them like a to-do list on steroids.

2. With a signed contract and deposit, planning begins! We’re here to support you in every step, which can include engagement photos, coffee dates, timeline creation, and planning sessions.
3. Your wedding day arrives! We’ll encourage you to relax, be present in each moment, and leave the heavy lifting to us. You’ll focus on soaking up every love-filled second, while our focus will be on capturing precious memories.
4. Following your wedding day, we’ll get to work editing and curating your online gallery. A link to view your gallery will be sent via email, which you can share with friends and family for them to view and download as well. Open a bottle of wine, look through each photo (or wedding film) and enjoy.
