I was so excited when N’s Mom reached out asking if I would be willing to take his senior photos at the Safety In Motion Flight School in Tumwater, WA.  N loves flying and is currently taking classes there to be a pilot. I was so excited and jumped on the opportunity. Here are just a few of my favorite shots from this senior photoshoot.

We will start by discussing your ideas and vision for the shoot. Do you have a favorite location, a special outfit, or props that represent your passions? Let’s incorporate them into your session to make your portraits authentic.

Your senior portrait session is all about you, and it should be both enjoyable and comfortable. We will choose a location that complements your style. We will also discuss outfit choices and any props you would like to include, such as sports equipment, musical instruments, or even your pet. This session is designed to highlight your individuality.

N is planning on heading straight into pilots training after high school to study to be a commercial pilot. Thank you N for letting me photograph this important time in your life!

Tips for a Perfect Senior Photoshoot

We’ve got you covered. Here are some tips to make sure you get those perfect shots.

1. Schedule Your Photoshoot Early. First things first, reach out to schedule your photoshoot. Planning ahead means we can be more flexible and work around your style and vision. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, but booking in advance gives us more chances to find the perfect day. And don’t worry, if the weather isn’t on our side, we can always reschedule to make sure you get amazing photos.

2. Communicate Your Ideas. Let us know what you’re dreaming of for your photoshoot and what your expectations are. The more details you share, the better we can tailor the session to match your vision. Whether you have specific themes, poses, or locations in mind, your input helps us capture the perfect shots and make the most of our time together.

3. Plan Your Outfits and Props. Choose your outfits and props beforehand. Whether you’re going for a bohemian vibe or a classic look, your outfit is key. Pick something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. Consider bringing a few different outfits for variety, and think about props that show off your interests or hobbies. For instance, if you’re into sports, music, or anything else, bringing related items can add a personal touch to your photos.

4. Arrive a Bit Early. On the day of the shoot, try to show up a few minutes early. This gives you time to settle in, take a deep breath, and get ready to shine! Arriving early also means you can do any last-minute touch-ups and get comfortable with the setting, making it easier to start the session on a positive note.

5. Relax and Have Fun! Most importantly, relax and have fun! This is a special time in your life, and it’s all about celebrating you. Try not to stress too much and just enjoy the process. Let your personality shine through, and you’ll be amazed at how stunning your senior photos turn out.
